Hitman: Codename 47 (PC) Playthrough / 47 chromosomes of total professionalism.
Hitman: Codename 47 (2000) by IO Interactive is one of the most iconic stealth based games, with an even more iconic protagonist whose brand is still strong to this day. Lee Hong Assasination mission can be trideous because it was my first contact with it after 20+ years, so be patient..... but i managed to pass it in a first try, well it took long but made it. In the game, we take on the role of a unique clone, bred in a laboratory under a mental institution somewhere in Romania, by the eccentric Dr. Ort-Meyer playing god . He is exactly 47 clone created from the DNA code taken from 5 former members of the French Foreign Legion, who are now very influential crime lords. Dr. Ort-Meier's vision was to create the perfect soldier, who was to be obedient and reliable, with his abilities instantly inherited through the cloning process, without the need for unnecessary lengthy training. When Agent 47 joins the ICA ( International Contract Agency), a kind of conglomerate of assassins, mercenaries, etc. hired to influential people from all over the world. Almost immediately he becomes one of its best and most efficient members. And with that, Dr. Ort-Meier was finally convinced that he had achieved the success he desired, as Agent 47's achievements could not be overlooked. Only would the doctor be willing to share this knowledge with his associates ? What can I say, the original hitman is one of my favorite games, and another indicator of the quality of stealth games thanks to the multi-branch solutions for completing each task. The protagonist himself 47ak. agent 47ak. Tobias Rieper, for me, is as iconic a contribution to the genre as Solid Snake himself. The first part in no way judges our achievements so there is no emphasis on indiscernibility as is already done in the sequels. The game, as the first part of a legendary brand, still has to admit that it did a good job and even today it is quite enjoyable to play. The Ragdoll system is literally phenomenal for that time, admittedly the physics can be comical in some cases, but as a whole the game really does a good job. Our detection system can be capricious at times, and enemies can spot us from behind the visible screen drawing. this is especially evident during jungle missions. I must also add that for me this is the best soundtrack made by Jasper Kyda...... It's just phenomenal . The music in the menu got into my soul and now I won't be able to free myself from it :D Don't get me wrong Ave Maria is also very good but it's not the same. The game has a lot of bugs, problems with collision detection, etc. but it is known that this is the first game in the series, which will never be perfect, and with the next installment of all its pains will be corrected and improved. Right ? I highly recommend this iconic title to every stealth game fan, but not only that, because you can also organize a carnage here... but where's the fun in that?
