Shinobi III Return of the Ninja Master (MD/Genesis) Playthrough / Pinnacle of the Shinobi series.
Shinobi III Return of the Ninja Master (1993) by Sega is at least for me, the best installment in the series. In the game, we once again play the role of the deadly Joe Musashi, who single-handedly once again sets out to knock out the entire “Neo Zeed” crime syndicate. And that would be really all as far as the plot is concerned . This part is simply beautiful, large, detailed and well-animated sprites are really impressive, not to mention the locations we'll have to move around. They are really well done and varied, so nice to look at. Shinobi III is not so different from its predecessor, but it can definitely offer much more. Differences include the addition of running, attaching to ceilings and moving on them when the situation requires it, as well as a block, which this time we can use non-stop without having to collect power ups. There are also two special levels in the game. In the first one we ride a horse, and in the next one we ride a kind of surfboard. Both levels are basically very similar, and our task in them will be to avoid obstacles and eliminate enemies who want to get us at all costs. The game is really dynamic and challenging, and the boss fights are as impressive as never ever before. I am not blinded by nostalgia, because I never had to deal with these games before . So I objectively conclude that Shinobi III is the best game in the series...... at least of the 8/16/32 bit era. If the plot had been better handled, I'm even willing to say that it would have been an almost perfect game. Strongly recommended
