These are very crude tests and not scientific or overly precise; they're really only useful for judging relative input lag on games running on my particular set-up.

Counting the frames (pause the video--make sure it's running at a 60fps resolution--and use the "." key to advance frame by frame) between pressing the Light Punch button and Ryu's sprite actually starting to punch in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike on a Dreamcast. I count 6 frames.

This is ~60fps cell phone footage. 3rd Strike is running in 240p mode. The video is going out through a KURO VGA box (set in RGB mode), through a splitter, to an OSSC, to a 5ms display lag ASUS monitor.

Prior to this, my two most recent tests of the game, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-uUVnCKd6c&list=PLZO3OPzPjIzMl-jcYl0YFhwRYTyP5R8M3&index=7 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6MvxcNinpE&list=PLZO3OPzPjIzMl-jcYl0YFhwRYTyP5R8M3&index=9 , counted just 5 frames of input lag. And my original one several years earlier counted just 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hT1uEUFcTfA&list=PLZO3OPzPjIzMl-jcYl0YFhwRYTyP5R8M3&index=1&t=11s . That original one was very rough with the recorded framerate of the cell phone video though--I think I got sub-60fps (it's based on how much light the camera can get) and had to up-convert it; I also found later I'd had a ~1 frame lag setting on the monitor, and so subtracted 1 frame from the counts, which obviously is not the best way to do it. But it was also running composite video, via an Elgato HD; the two later tests were using the Kuro, but without the splitter, and a Brook Super Converter connected to a Hori HRAP V arcade stick as the controller. So who knows.

Other versions of 3rd Strike I've tested previously, again on slightly differing set-ups, are the PS2 version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYqmju1chOI&list=PLZO3OPzPjIzMl-jcYl0YFhwRYTyP5R8M3&index=6 at 4 frames, and the PS3 version (that oldest, fairly sketchy batch of tests again, from a year and a half ago) at a mere 2 frames https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hT1uEUFcTfA&list=PLZO3OPzPjIzMl-jcYl0YFhwRYTyP5R8M3&index=1&t=251s -- oh and I didn't upload it, but somewhat more recently I counted 3 frames in the PS4 version in Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection.

All of those are significantly more responsive than the Dreamcast version. I like the 240p mode and the VS CPU mode found only in the Dreamcast version, but I'm more into the arcade mode than the VS CPU mode now, and am getting interested in playing the most responsive version for the sake of really honing my currently quite weak 3rd Strike abilities. ; ) I'm about to switch back to the PS3 version, and will retest that one.
