Intel Cannonlake & Radeon NUC Spotted | AMD Hints at Ryzen 2800X & More
Today, we have some rumors on a leaked Intel 10nm Cannonlake NUC which will feature a AMD Radeon discrete GPU. We have the alleged specs for what is going to be named for the Intel Crimson Canyon NUC, and a ton of speculation. We also have some cool info from Intel on the Stratix 10, which can do calculations obscenely fast and is for use in high end computing and AI.
We also have some hints from AMD on the potential existence of the Ryzen 2800X, which has been mysteriously absent from the Rzyen 2000 series CPU lineup. This is far from confirmed, but what improvements could AMD make to maybe challenge what Intel are bringing to the processor market this summer?
Moving on to console, Microsoft have announced that the Xbox One is going to get a high refresh mode update, allowing those with 120Hz monitors to potentially get more use out of their TV. It is up to game developers to support it, of course, but it is still nice to see support for this on console.
Finally, we have yet more comments from officials in the Netherlands Gaming Authority on loot boxes, and how they want to see legislation made EU wide in order to regulate the sale of the hotly contested microtransaction method. While they are not calling for a ban, they are asking for changes to be made so that opening a loot box is not so addictive and within the realms of gambling.
