Who wants to ever believe that their parent is a narcissists?
Who wants to ever experience that moment when you have to question whether your parent is a narcissist or not?
No one.
It's a chilling reality to have to accept that your parent (or family member) is cold, uncaring, motivated by rewards or punishments, self-centered or egocentric, and "instrumental" (i.e., intentionally manipulative) in almost everything they do.
I LOVE working with families (parents, children, & teens) and feel incredibly blessed to do what I do.
But the really difficult part of my work is coming to terms with the reality that it isn't the child who is the problem, but the parent.
In this live chat/video, I will be discussing something known as "instrumental narcissism" and "weaponizing confidence."
