Jak 2 Glitching
https://www.patreon.com/ulillillia --- The fact you can get an excessive amount of item drops and even blown up zoomers leads to one fact: too much stuff for the system to render. The consequence? Weird things happen that result in the lack of things being drawn, even an all-out crash. The process is quite simple: you need a platform of sorts in the area where the river goes into a tunnel and you need infinite ammo and, of great help, invulnerability. With those combined, this is easy to do. Here's what to do:
Step 1: grab a large guard vehicle. These vehicles are the only ones high enough when blown up to allow you to jump out of the river and over the fence to see the big mess left behind. This is not required, but it's nice. Any 2-seat zoomer would do just as well. Avoid the single-seater zoomers as they lack sufficient space - it's easy to fall off of them. However, the large guard vehicle has to be positioned just right or you won't be able to jump up or won't have enough space to see.
Step 2: with the destroyed zoomer platform secured, bring out the peace maker and start blasting guards. Each one blasted will drop something. Pan the camera around but be sure to keep blown up guard zoomers in the view as best as possible. They can be off the view for about 2 seconds at the most. When guards cross the bridge, blast them. When guard vehicles come, blow them up by blasting them. Once all 5 (or 6) guard vehicles are blown up, you'll only need to focus on the guards, so long as the guard vehicles remain in the view. It is unnecessary to have them in the river as I was attempting to do.
Step 3: over time, objects begin disappearing, first some distant buildings then the sides of the river channel. When the sides of the river channel start vanishing, that's when the good stuff begins. You can see that the water consists of rectangular blocks that extend only a short bit beyond the edge of what you can get to. This is a common level design tactic. Pressing start normally brings up the wheel menu but with enough junk present, it just simply becomes the same as pressing select, for pausing the game. However, with the right circumstances and enough junk, parts of the wheel menu don't display but do as you rotate the wheel while other parts vanish. The peace maker occasionally won't fire either. When the wheel menu has parts missing, do not save your game - it will crash the game and may result in the permanent loss of the save file(s) as the only way to get the game back is the reset button.
Step 4: when ready, jump up over the fence and note how much trash there is, in the form of ammo drops. This is where invulnerability comes in especially handy as the guards will be in high numbers and unleashing all they have, to the point it's almost impossible to not take hits.
I attempted to destroy that robot that causes instant death in pumping station, using Dark Jak and the bomb technique but after 50 tries, using both hero mode and normal mode, nothing happened. I've destroyed it that way before, on my first play.
