Jak & Daxter: Playthrough Part 10: Boggy Billy's Boggy Swamp
7The Boggy Swamp is the second main area near Rock Village that I travel through.
Now besides the constant raining here, here's what you'll discover in this swamp:
- Watch out for tar pits! Not only are they hard to move through, but they also hurt you for some reason if you take a dip in them.
- This is likely the first area you visit that lets you use the last of the 4 main Ecos: Yellow Eco. What Yellow Eco does is give Jak the ability to shoot yellow fireballs from his hands. Expect to see a lot of Yellow Eco and their vents throughout the swamp, as its power can be used to destroy Lurker Rat nests and destroy tethers to a massive Lurker balloon.
- If the saved the Flut-Flut back in Sentinel Beach, you'll be able to use her in the Boggy Swamp. The Flut-Flut plays like a faster version of the Baby T.Rex of Crash Bandicoot Warped. She can also flutter in the air, headbutt, and use a dive attack, the latter two of which can break open metal boxes. Finally, she's able to travel through tar without getting hurt, and use Yellow Eco, too. You'll need her to get to one Power Cell in the area surrounding her.

Here's some of the Power Cells you can get from here besides the Flut-Flut one.
- There are 4 Power Cells you can get from using Yellow Eco to destroy 4 tethers to a giant Lurker balloon. According to Samos, what they were trying to get was the arm to a Precursor Robot. He doesn't know why...
- Using a Blue Eco Launcher, you can reach the locked gate entrance to where this Precursor Robot arm is. Managing to kill the entire ambush of Lurkers & Lurker Rats makes another Power Cell appear on the Blue Eco Launcher out of there.
- Near the Flut-Flut area, there's a dirty hillbilly named Boggy Billy. His issue is that the Lurkers Rats have scared away his pet hip-hog, Farley. Billy tries to leave out Farley's favorite treats to bring him back, but the Lurker Rats just keep stealin' em.
What you have to do is use Yellow Eco to shoot at the rats before they take the treats. If a single one of those treats get eaten, you'll have to start over. In this video, I beat this minigame on my 3rd try.
Boggy Billy's happy about this since it brought Farley back to him. He doesn't say anything about giving you a Power Cell, but you get one anyway for helping him out.

The last things I do in this video is leave Boggy Swamp back to Rock Village and get the village's last Scout Fly & remaining Precursor Orbs. Then I go wait at the entrance to the Lost Precursor City.
