Jerp plays Going Under - Day 1 (2020-09-22)
0Going Under has you playing through the ruins of failed tech startups as a would-be marketing intern named Jackie. It's got quite the unusual aesthetic for a rogue-lite, having a brighter and more stylized presentation and having a good bit more focus on story -- somewhat reminiscent of what you might see in the Persona games (although in Going Under's case, it's probably a bit easier to skip straight to grinding dungeons, if you so desire).
One interesting note is how the weapons are handled - instead of focusing on trying to find one of a few key weapons that best match your perk/upgrade synergies and milking that as much as possible, Going Under has disposable weapons with relatively low durability, similar to Zelda: Breath of the Wild (though in this case, it's another example of greatly expanding on that concept).
