Hi.
Today I show you how looks and works new KDE Plasma 5.1.2 in development Linux Mageia 5 x64 beta 5 Cauldron.
Default in Mageia 5 we can't find Plasma 5, we have only KDE 4.14.3 but we can install Plasma 5 simply from Cauldron repo.

I found few bugs like not give up open Mageia tools and KDE tools.

Plasma 5 looks nicebut still has a bugs. And there is no is the latest edition of it. The system is in Beta 3, and 5 Plasma itself is not adapted to it because it will not default on its stable release. It's more as a preview.

If you want install Plasma 5 on Linux Mageia 5 or Cauldron you need use this command:

urpme -a kde-l10n kdebase4-workspace

urpmi plasma-desktop plasma-workspace oxygen kinit qttools5 qttools5-qtdbus dbus-x11 solid kded plasma5-libkscreen kconfig kio kservice kf5-krunner kf5-kfilemetadata plasma5-libkscreen kwin plasma-workspace-wallpapers xinit xauth xmessage socat sddm

systemctl disable prefdm.service && systemctl enable sddm.service

The first line removes from the system KDE 4. Because of the conflict in depending of KDE 4 and Plasma 5 can not be installed Mageia 5 at a one time.

The second line is the installation of Plasma 5 and dependency and SDDM.

The third is to enable SDDM.

These activities are experimental and are doing it at your own risk. Plasma 5.1.2 in Mageia 5 beta is not suitable for your daily work!

Dziś pokażę jak wygląda i działa KDE Plasma 5.1.2 w Linuksie Mageia 5 x64 beta 5 Cauldron.
Domyślnie w Mageia 5 nie znajdziemy Plasma 5, mamy tylko 4.14.3 KDE, ale możemy zainstalować Plasma 5 Cauldron repo.

Znalazłem kilka błędów m.in. nie pozwalające się otworzyć narzędzia Mageia i narzędzia KDE.

Plasma 5 wygląda dobrze, ale nadal ma błędy. System jest w wersji beta 3, a sama Plasma nie jest jeszcze w najnowszym wydaniu i nie jest dostosowany do tego systemu, ponieważ nie będzie zawarty w stabilnej wersji systemu. To wideo to tylko podgląd.

Jeśli chcesz zainstalować Plasma 5 na Linux Mageia 5 beta 3 Cauldron musisz użyć poniższych poleceń:

urpme -a kde-l10n kdebase4-workspace

Pierwsza linia usuwa z systemu KDE 4. Ze względu na konflikt w zależności KDE 4 i Plasma 5 nie może być zainstalowany w Mageia 5 w tym samym czasie.

Druga linia to polecenie instalacji Plasma 5 i SDDM.

Trzecia to aktywacja SDDM.

Plasma 5 jest eksperymentalna i robisz to na własne ryzyko. Plasma 5.1.2 w Mageia 5 beta nie nadaje się do codziennej pracy!
