Today I will show you gameplay in the game The Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings on Linux. Game developed by CDProjekt RED is only half native because it uses wrapper technology developed by EON Virtual Programming and this same VP team porting TW2 to Linux.

After all, after some initial problems with the latest version of performance for Linux has been running very well on NVIDIA cards. On the cards AMD unfortunately still worse, but on my card HD 5850 and Catalyst 14.12 Omega drivers is playable and have a stable 30 FPS at maximum graphics settings without ubersampling in resolution 1680x1050px.

Additional settings: on the compositions in the system - thus dramatically decreases performance, but it is possible to record in fullscreen mode on the cards and AMD Catalyst drivers. Without composition I can't record fullscreen games.

Dzisiaj pokażę wam rozgrywkę w grę The Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings na Linuksie. Gra firmy CDProjekt RED jest w połowie natywna bo wykorzystuje technologię wrapper eON opracowaną przez Virtual Programming.

Mimo wszystko, po początkowych problemach z wydajnością najnowsza wersja dla Linuksa działa już bardzo dobrze na kartach NVIDIA. Na kartach AMD niestety wciąż gorzej, ale na mojej karcie HD 5850 i sterownikach Catalyst 14.12 Omega jest grywalna i mam stabilne 30 FPS na maksymalnych ustawieniach graficznych bez ubersampling w rozdzielczości 1680x1050px.
