Aussie Garage is thankful for the chance to interview Kelvin about his Holden Collection of Cars that he has stored in his Aussie Garage.

First in the collections is VB Commodore that is a Peter Brock HDT tribute with its factory 308 engine, turbo 350 transmission and 4-wheel disc brake system. Kelvin brought this Commodore to do it up and sell to get back into a 70’s style Panel Van that is good to get in and drive straight away. These Peter Brock Designed Commodores had large success when they came out.

He had to spend time on getting the brakes, suspension, and few other key areas so that he could get this licensed and ready to sale for the next vehicle to join the fleet. Kelvins about a week or so off finishing this project. So if your interest, let us know and we can hook you up with Kelvin for a chat.

The Next car in the collection, is his proud and joy. The 1964 EH Holden that he has owned for over 20 years now and will be in the family after he has gone. The EH holds a special place in his heart as he’s first vehicle was an EH Holden and furthermore, he owned about 5 of these throughout his life so far. He brought this vehicle semi completed with all the paint and panel work completed, he had to spend most of his time on the mechanical works by upgrading the brake system to new brother the HR Holden and by rebuilding the 179 Engine.

Kelvin has also been rebuilding a 202 engine that has a mild cam, fully blueprinted and with electronic ignition. Just gives the car that more power it requires, and we all know how good the 202 engines are.

And lastly, his beloved HSV Maloo Sandman 6lt engine that was created by AMCAP as part of Holden By Design, which is now Racepaint. We have seen Kelvin’s Sandman on the channel before at the Big Boys Toys Expo 2022 in February this year. He does love all the creature comforts of have 4-wheel disc brakes, luxury seats and of course, air conditioning during summer months. It’s just all-round cruising car to drive. Kelvin is also part of West Coast Vanners Car Club in WA that has over 105 members at present and is still growing.

Well, we appreciate Kelvin showing us around his Aussie Garage and his collection within it, and yes, we wish we had our own collections at home. How good would it be to select which car to drive each weekend with so much to choose from.
