HJ Monaro Coupe Project - Part 3
57So, Aussie Garage final got to catch with Phil about his HJ Monaro Coupe Project and where is was up since the last time we caught up with Troy and him. Since we last see him all the Plenum Repairs were finally finished and cleaned up. By looking at these now, you would think that they are brand new.
They have also finished the repairs on the Rear Quarter Panel and boot area that required a lot of work to get these into a usable part of the Monaro. Both these areas are now fixed to perfection and ready for what come next.
The were several other repairs done to the Monaro as well, such as the Sills and the inner door frame panels, which all had rust that was cut out and repaired before the Monaro was placed in primer.
Troy and Phil are now starting to put the panels back on the Holden Monaro to check the gaps are correct on the vehicle and to get ready for about 200 hours of Blocking and sanding to get the lines of the car perfect before layers of paint are dropped on the Monaro.
The painting of the Monaro will be the next stage of the process, and then Corvettics WA will come in to rewire the complete vehicle from front to rear and make sure all areas function correctly. So at present, Troy and Phil are about half way there from finishing this amazing vehicle.
