Information:
The ballistic missile takes us to the next stage in our space program. Our first ballistic missile is based on the world's first known as the V-2. No longer an adaption of a plane or other commonly used vehicle this machine was for all intent and purposes a brand new delivery system. Unlike earlier rockets the V-2 had a gyroscopic guidance system which would auto correct the trajectory of the rocket if it became unstable in flight which was one of the main reasons for its reliably and usability.

Just from our quick video you should be able to see how much more effective the V-2 was compared to the V-1. It went further, faster and higher. So fast no plane could chase it down. Also, the fuel would cut out well before it was near its target so no one would hear it coming. More often than not the first sign of a V-2 attack was the explosion it made.

The only real limitation this weapon system has for us is its range, it was powerful enough to touch the edge of space however it was far from intercontinental. It was a huge leap towards space flight and of course good at blowing people up, the latter is why after WWII the Russians and Americans were so interested in creating their own versions of it.
