Kerbal Space Program (kOS) - Dynamic wheel friction control and terrain-sensing smart axles.
Friction can be changed on wheels real-time in Kerbal which allows rovers to go from sliding like they are on ice, to intense grip which will typically roll them. Combined with kOS this can be fairly powerful. It shifts friction around to keep it stable at low and high speeds and during turning and sliding maneuvers.
It also uses axle servos which are set based on the terrain underneath the wheels to get solid four wheel traction at all times. It also keeps the Kerbals upright at all times regardless of underlying terrain.
Lastly it uses SAS to continually match the front-rear terrain angle for added traction and for smooth landings during jumps.
Forgot to add to the video, but on the rare occasion it ends up upside down it can use the axle servos to right itself.
Toss in some massive tweak-scaled wheels and it can handle a wide range of scenarios.
