This video will show the key differences between the Tinder app made available to Android 2.3 GingerBread users versus the Tinder app made available to Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and up users. Android 2.3 users use an older version of the Tinder app than do the Android 4+ users. Profile pictures are uploaded in a higher quality and appear crisper when uploaded using Android 4+ than they do on Android 2.3. Android 2.3 Tinder enforces a tight framing to photo uploads whereas Android 4's automatic cropping is less drastic. Tinder 2.3's button layout can cause errors in tapping and selecting since buttons are so close to one another, whereas Android 4+'s buttons are well separated. In Android 4+, common facebook connections, facebook likes, and linked Instagram account photos are displayed in user's profiles, whereas on Android 2.3 these items are not present. When you run out of likes, Android 4+ will give you one extra like every few hours, whereas on Android 2.3, once you run out of likes, you are told to upgrade your Tinder app for more likes, however, you are obviously running the most recent version of Tinder for Android 2.3, so you have to wait a 24 hour cycle for more likes.
Android 4+ has access to the following features that Android 2.3 does not:
-an undo button (through a pay service known as Tinder Plus)
-also through TinderPlus, you can emulate being in a different location (such as if you are planning to vacation somewhere and want to view the profiles of locals there)
-a Super-Like (which notifies the other party that you like them even before they judge your profile: you get one Super Like free per day and 4 additional SuperLikes per day if you pay for TinderPlus).
