Kid Icarus: Uprising: Part 2: Chapter 2: Magnus and the Dark Lord
2Chapter 2 is the first Chapter I can prepare Pit for, such as equipping Weapons and Powers.

AIR BATTLE - (1:25 - 5:55)
Palutena has Pit fly through stormy clouds to hunt down Dark Lord Gaol. He is one of Medusa's top minions and his castle is one of the biggest sources of her minions.
A human army is out to battle against Gaol's forces, but they're not projected to stand a chance. That's where Pit comes in.
The storm is getting more intense, and some of it can zap Pit of you don't maneuver him right. At the same time, there's an implication that Palutena has eaten cooked chicken wings before (or she's just messing around with Pit. It's kinda hard to tell).
So then Palutena directs Pit closer to land, with more enemies to shoot down along the way. The mountains they encounter here look really rough for people to get through without flying, so then Pit is moved underground for a bit.
Eventually, after flying up a massive wall, Pit & Palutena see that the human army have already engaged against the Underworld Army near Dark Lord Gaol's castle.
Pit wanted to help the humans, but his time with the Power of Flight was running out, and Palutena needed to remind him of what will happen to Pit afterwards if he didn't land soon. They had no choice but to head straight towards the castle, instead.

LAND BATTLE - (5:55 - 18:28)
Once again, Land Battles have Pit more on-hands on with his fights against these monsters, especially since I gave him the Violet Palm for this Chapter. You may have to hit some switches to get through some of the doors.

Palutena decided to play another joke on Pit by claiming she can read his heart through the laurel crown he's wearing. She tricks him into almost admitting that that he had some dirty thoughts... Hmmm... maybe of her?
Pit TRIED to deny this, but he really sucked at it. Heh...

Make sure look everywhere in a stage. There are branching paths that can lead to treasure, though these paths can also lead to enemy ambushes that were guarding those treasures.
You may also occasionally find a Sacred Chamber, like what I found at 9:22. It's looks like it's just Palutena freely gifting Pit some additional weapons.

Pit eventually runs into a human fighting within the castle, itself. His name is Magnus, and he's the strongest swordsman among the humans. They decided to team up to fight Gaol together, though Magnus is only in it for the reward money.
He also seems to not like Palutena much, knowing how many humans had to sacrifice their lives to fend off against the Underworld Army without much of her grace to protect them.

Magnus will fight the enemies by himself, but he can get KO'd. So keep helping him as much as he'll be helping you.
At one point, the two find a hot spring. It will recover Pit's health as long as he's in it, but this effect is a limited resource compared to the 8-Bit games. Eventually, the same spring won't heal him anymore.
Pit bathes in these hot springs fully-clothed for two reasons:
1). Because he believes that angel warriors such as himself should always be fully-dressed for duty.
2). He doesn't like steaming his... "sacred buns" (and he doesn't want anyone to see his bare butt either way).

Eventually, Pit & Magnus face against Dark Lord Gaol. Apparently, Gaol & Magnus knew each other before.
Let the fight go on and you might get an explanation for this:
According to Palutena, the two use to fight the Underworld Army together, but Gaol was eventually swayed to join them. Magnus's drive for fighting was also motivated from him losing a child to the Underworld in the past.

If you have an ally with Pit, they will try to fight the boss themselves.
However, if the boss' health is down to 1, the ally will suddenly stop and follow Pit again. This is because only you can deal the finishing blow to beat the boss and finish the Chapter.

Dark Lord Gaol was defeated. When he collapsed to the ground...
His body shattered open, revealing that "HE"... was actually a "SHE"!
The REAL Gaol was barely hanging on for her life at this point. For now, she was in Magnus' care. So it was time for Pit to return to Palutena's Temple for the next mission against Medusa.
