This is a playthrough using Geese Howard in the PS2 version of The King of Fighters: Neowave. Read on below for more information...

Geese Howard is the end boss of the game. He is a hidden immediate playable character.

NOTE: Max gauge used for this playthrough. It is a feature you can enable within the Game Option screen.

===== HOW TO SELECT GEESE =====

On the character select screen: highlight K' and hold R1. Geese will appear whenever R1 is held. Therefore with R1 held, press any attack button to select Geese.

===== ABOUT NEOWAVE GEESE =====

He is basically the younger version of himself from Art of Fighting 2, drawn in the KOF style for Neowave. There are (unfortunately) some significant differences between the human-controlled and CPU-controlled versions of him, described as follows:

---- The CPU Geese inflicts extremely high damage. This is what makes him very difficult to beat.

---- The CPU Geese has no delay at the start-up when performing the strong version Reppu Ken special move.

---- The CPU Geese's Flying Sun Slicer / Buzzsaw special move seems to have far more priority, have more invincibility frames, and may even have larger hitboxes.

===== OTHER INFORMATION / TRIVIA =====

---- His sliding kick command normal has "boss" properties - it's abnormally fast, covers a good range and he recovers from it quickly.

---- He is the character with the smallest command/skill list in the game.

---- He does not have a MAX2 super move.

---- His strong Reppu Ken special move, which creates the larger and fiery projectile, is new to Young Geese (as he did not have this in AOF2). The projectile originally comes from his Fatal Fury Special counterpart.

---- His Raging Storm super move is new to Young Geese (as he did not have this in AOF2). In Neowave this is actually more like a super command grab, meaning that you need to be up close to the opponent and catching them with it before the move is carried out. The grab range for this move is terrible, you literally have to be right up close touching the opponent! The graphics for this Raging Storm comes from his Nightmare Geese self.

---- When is the CPU boss on the final stage, he always seems to be in MAX2 mode.

---- In Neowave, he reuses assets from his SNK vs Capcom self, using voice samples/clips which are changed to higher pitch or sped-up (presumably to make him sound "younger").

---- The game's character artwork was produced by Tomokazu Nakano, who had produced artwork for the Power Instinct games.

===== ABOUT KOF NEOWAVE =====

The game is basically a drastically altered version of KOF2002 with many different and extra features, one of the most significant being the inclusion of an all-new AOF2 version of Geese Howard as the game's end boss. Neowave is a Dream Match, meaning that it is non-canonical and not counted in the new numeral progression of the series, which KOFXI started. The game was developed specifically to test the Atomiswave hardware.
