This is a playthrough using Omega Rugal in the PS2 version of The King of Fighters: Neowave. Read on below for more information...

Omega Rugal is a hidden unlockable character in this version of the game.

NOTE: Max gauge used for this playthrough. It is a feature you can enable within the Game Option screen.

===== HOW TO UNLOCK OMEGA RUGAL =====

1) Defeat 47 opponents in Endless Mode. This also unlocks the other hidden characters and Gallery pictures as well.

2) On the character select screen: highlight Saisyu and hold R1. Omega Rugal will appear whenever R1 is held. Therefore with R1 held, press any attack button to select Omega Rugal.

===== ABOUT PS2 NEOWAVE O.RUGAL =====

Pretty much the same deal as in KOF2002... the most significant difference you'll notice is that when he performs the Gen0cide Cutter, he has a slight delay at the start-up of it. His damage output has been lowered by quite a lot as well, to offset the tremendous advantages of his Special and super moves. Despite these "nerfs", he is still a very powerful character in the game.

===== OTHER INFORMATION / TRIVIA =====

---- He is a console version exclusive character, meaning that he does not appear in the Arcade version of the game.

---- The CPU-controlled version of him seems to be the same as the player-controlled one.

---- He does not appear as an opponent in the regular single-player modes of the game.

---- It is fitting that on the character select screen he is hidden on Saisyu's slot, as Omega Rugal debuted in KOF'95 with Saisyu Kusanagi on his "team" as a penultimate boss.

---- The game's character artwork was produced by Tomokazu Nakano, who had produced artwork for the Power Instinct games.

===== ABOUT KOF NEOWAVE =====

The game is basically a drastically altered version of KOF2002 with many different and extra features, one of the most significant being the inclusion of an all-new AOF2 version of Geese Howard as the game's end boss. Neowave is a Dream Match, meaning that it is non-canonical and not counted in the new numeral progression of the series, which KOFXI started. The game was developed specifically to test the Atomiswave hardware.
