Kabuki Klash (alt) [Arcade] - play as Jyashinsai
This is a playthrough using Jyashinsai in the Arcade version of Far East of Eden: Kabuki Klash. Read on below for more information...
Jyashinsai is the penultimate boss in the game. In all original NeoGeo versions of the game (MVS/AES/CD), he is an unplayable character.
===== ABOUT JYASHINSAI =====
He is the classic old-bearded evil wizard/sorcerer type design. Levitating, floating, cape, robes, spells... it's all there. He's pretty cheap as well, obviously. In story terms this is his "first form" before "turning" into Lucifeller, but in the game's code he is technically a separate character. Jyashinsai fights using sorcery and other forbidden techniques.
He is rather limited in moves, but this is to be expected as he is a non-selectable boss character. Here is the information on him, as follows:
---- He cannot crouch, and he does not have any crouching Normals.
---- His ground Light Normals are Taunts.
---- He has ground Strong Normals, which consist of a swipe with light trails. This is a good strike as it covers decent range.
---- His high and low blocking uses the same animation/sprite, and both can block high and low attacks.
---- He can jump, but he is clearly not meant to, as it uses his neutral stance animations when he is jumping.
---- While jumping, he does not have any air Normals, instead he just disappears when an attack button is pressed. He reappears after he lands.
---- He has no super move.
---- His Dashes can go through opponents. It can be considered a teleport move.
---- He does not have a proper animation for crawling forward, instead he just "slides" forward.
---- He is unable to perform any Dash attacks as a result of his Dashes being a teleport.
---- He is not affected by the Banana Peal and Tiny Statue items.
---- If you manage to beat the game with him, he uses Kinu's ending.
---- In the original version of the game, he only has one colour palette.
===== OTHER INFORMATION =====
---- He is non-selectable even in the Neo-Geo CD version of the game. This is understandable because SNK would have to produce loads of new animation frames/sprites for him.
===== ABOUT KABUKI KLASH =====
From the SNK Wikia, with slight changes:
"Far East of Eden: Kabuki Klash is a fighting game for the Tengai Makyo series. The game was developed by Hudson Soft and released by SNK. It was released on July 28, 1995 for the Neo Geo and December 8, 1995 for the Neo Geo CD.
The main series is composed of three separate games within the land of 'Jipang' (a fictionalized version of feudal Japan), each follows a descendant of the 'Fire Clan' and supporting cast in battles against a range of often comical villains."
