Your equipment doesn't really matter here, having strength might make you do more damage with your keyblade but I don't think that is the case. Prior to Critical Mode being added this fight was a total slog because unless you had 35 STR, your bullets would do one damage per hit and it took forever. However since then they actually patched this fight to have its own separate damage floor from the rest of the world. Now your strength is scaled up to 35 if not a little more so your bullets do double the damage.

Since you obviously can't "attack" the boss, this fight is all about the movement and knowing what you should and shouldn't do. First and most important thing I want to emphasize, your forward roll DOES NOT HAVE INVINCIBILITY FRAMES! Overusing the forward roll is a major error I see players make a lot and it will only get you killed. Rolling forward should only be used to pass by a large amount of projectiles or Vaporflies flying at you from the front.

So how do you dodge then? Generally the way I find that works is to roll "outward". What I mean by that is while trailing the Vulture you want to roll in the opposite direction that your turning. This gives you a larger and smoother turning arc which reduces the chance of enemies spawning from screen. Enemies will usually spawn within a specified area in front of you and if you turn very sharply then you are likely to miss them spawning. If done right enemies should always spawn either right in front of you or slightly to the right. You also generally want to roll into enemies instead of away from them because otherwise there is a chance of them u-turning and killing you from behind.

While chasing Raging Vulture, it will often to a 180 and directly face you. When this happens, do not run from it or try to circle around it. The best way I've found to handle this is to challenge the Vulture to a game of Chicken and then dash past it right before the projectiles hit. It may seem a bit scary to do this but those projectiles have crazy homing properties when they first fired and then stop homing on you after being fired. If the Vulture drops bombs; which it often does after you fly behind it; just turn away slightly and roll away like you've been doing for the Vaporflies.

After 4 and a half bars you will stun the Vulture giving you a chance to jump on and attack. You can get some extra damage in with your bullets but be careful, if you damage it too much it will come out of stun early. After jumping on you can do about 2.5 to 3 bars of damage. As mentioned above I am unsure if your stats matter here since it doesn't matter for the bullets but this is what I managed with by best strength gear.

After jumping off the Vultures back, do not go for the Vaporflies with the smoke trails. They are a trap and will get you killed if you try for them. I usually look around and try to find one far away from the fight and hopefully get one look at the Vulture instead of flying away from it. The fight does change a bit here with the Vaporflies getting more aggressive but it doesn't feel like it changes the strategy of the fight.
