Oh my god an actual humanoid boss, he staggers, has revenge value and properly telegraphs his attacks. I am not kidding when I say this, but I think this might be my favorite Disney villain boss of the entire series. My setup is mostly to just increase my damage but on single humanoid bosses like this, I tend to stick to Kingdom Key because Second Form is really fun to use in one on ones.

The strategy for this is pretty simple, get an opening and do two full combos and parry his counter. If you Counter Kick the moment you he connects with your block, there is a high chance you will frame trap him with Kick's many hitboxes and catch him before he teleports. If he does teleport, don't chase him. When teleporting after hitting his Revenge Value, he will teleport again right after to you and will often attack coming from the portal. If by some means he runs and doesn't come back to you, jump up high above him with Doubleflight and Falling Slash down to him. Falling Slash comes down too fast for him to go into his parry stance so it will catch him every time.

It should be noted that Sora's reprisals and Final Blow don't actually increase Revenge Value so I find it better to drop my combo after Final Blow and start a new one. So no matter what opening you exploit; unless you whiff a hit; always do two raw combos. Triple Rush is actually really nice here because things line up perfectly for it, it has only 0.1 more Revenge Value then a normal slash and does 50% more damage then the stock finisher. My low magic makes Magic Flash weak and Speed Slash adds too much Revenge Value for too little of a damage increase so I don't recommend them.

When it comes to forms, the first thing you need to do is built Counter Shield and then store it for later. After that, switch to Kingdom Key and just fight him using Second Form when possible. You need a form that can guard and your only other option here unless your on NG+ is Hyper Hammer so I don't recommend it. When comboing with Second Form, you can get a full combo and then a second combo up to Explosion. Explosion has a lot of hitboxes and they don't all hit, he will not counter. If he doesn't counter after Explosion, don't Lunge n' Launch, just hit him once to force the counter. Ars Arcanum doesn't add Revenge Value so keep track of where you were when you triggered it.

Once you deal enough damage, he will run and the Kraken will attack the ship. This is the reason you build Counter Shield, not only is Wrathful Flurry strong but the Kraken is weak to Thunder damage. Just run around and block when one of the tentacles attacks. If you line it up right you can kill two tentacles with one Wrathful Flurry. The tentacle from the ground is not as big of a problem as you would think because you can run from it and if it frame traps you while using Counter Shield, it doesn't damage you. No kidding, if it grabs you during Wrathful Flurry it won't actually damage you even though it shows you getting hurt.

Once you destroy enough of the tentacles, the Kraken will run and the fight continues like normal until the Kraken spawns again. This time the Kraken won't despawn and Davy Jones will fight you while your being attacked by the Kraken. You need to play really careful here and take out the tentacles in the center as soon as possible. Once you do, the fight more or less continues like normal except you are not allowed to fight on the upper decks. If he runs up there, just wait for him to teleport down to you.
