My favorite of the Kingdom Hearts games, I'd argue that it's the best in the series.

You might wonder why I’m skipping Chain of Memories since that comes after Kingdom Hearts 1, main reason for that is mainly because I'm not that much of a fan of that game and to avoid fatigue since it’s pretty much the first Kingdom Hearts again except if you turned it into a card game, there’s some change-ups but if you’ve played the first game then Chain of Memories will tread through a lot of familiar territory except level design is much worse. I may or may not do Chain of Memories at a later date, but I'm not making any promises.

Story-wise, you need to have played Chain of Memories to make some level of sense out of the story of this game, otherwise you'll have an experience like this:

As far as story goes, this is where I stop caring about the story of the Kingdom Hearts series in retrospect, but story isn't really why I play Kingdom Hearts to begin with, as I'm not someone who'll dislike a game just because the story sucks; gameplay is what matters most to me, and as far as how this game is on that front it’s fantastic.

I'll be playing this game on the highest Difficulty setting, Critical Mode, and going for 100% completion as efficiently as my capabilities enable, if it's your first time and you're looking for challenge I'd say do it; you get a ton of benefits for playing on this difficulty too, but beware that on this difficulty you might have trouble early on, but it's a fun game to master.

The game starts you off in a 6 Day Prologue that lasts for nearly 3 hours unless you're skipping cutscenes in which case I'd say it lasts less than an hour if you're efficient and fast enough.

I thought I'd show off what happens if you lose to Seifer for anyone curious since Seifer is really easy even on the highest difficulty, though I guess that's what one should expect from the guy who goes down in two hits in Final Fantasy VIII.
