While they weren't initially going to amount to more than a quick test of the game right after I had finished King's Bounty: The Legend, my sessions with the Crossworlds version of the Armored Princess campaign quickly became more serious than that and grew into a full-fledged playthrough which - after no less than 70 hours (!) of intense adventuring - has now been completed. As previously mentioned, only a handful of games in the last decade or so have managed to hold my attention for such an extended period of time and despite not being without a few notable flaws, King's Bounty (especially the expansions) really captures the essence of what makes PC gaming great - genuine gameplay depth, unique audiovisual flair and lots of unabashed geekiness.
