Now onto our second Dream Friend, and another recurring character in the Kirby series, it is Meta Knight, the Masked Swordsman who made his debut in Kirby's Adventure as one of Kirby's rivals, and in most of Meta Knight's boss fights, he would lend a sword to Kirby so they can duel.
The leader of the Meta-Knights, and the captain of the Battleship Halberd is a very skilled swordsman, and without his mask, he looks just like Kirby, the only time Meta Knight's mask ever comes off is in most of his boss battles, like Kirby's Adventure, and even in this game when you defeat Meta Knight in a boss battle.
Much like in the Meta Knightmare mode in Nightmare in Dream Land and Planet Robobot, here is yet another extra mode where Meta Knight is playable, but then again there was an extra mode in Triple Deluxe where you could play as King Dedede.
Much like the Sword Ability, most of Meta Knight's moves were from his playable appearance in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, and he does have new attacks as well. He does have different moves, like Mach Tornado and Shuttle Loop, which are moves he did use in the Super Smash Bros. series, in the 4.0.0 counter, Meta Knight did get a new move called Galactic Counter, where he will guard himself from an attack, and if an attack connects, Meta Knight will slash the target, dealing a heavy amount of damage, even mid-bosses can be taken out in one hit with just that move. As he is a Sword user, Meta Knight can use elemental attributes, like Sizzle Sword and Zap Sword, giving him some good moves, and can also help him out in tough fights.
Like with King Dedede, all Dream Friends have unique final battle music for Guest Star Allies, and the song that plays when Meta Knight fights the Final Boss is the same song that plays when King Dedede fights that opponent, most of the songs are usually Final Boss themes from their debut game, most notably with the other Dream Friends, and at the end of the credits, you get a picture from their debut game, so this does make them different to regular friends, but this is just the Wave 1 Dream Friends, things will be a bit different when we get to the next update of Dream Friends.
