Plot - On the heights of the Land of Dreams there is a sacred fountain known as the Fountain of Dreams, it collects the hopes and dreams of every living being on the planet Pop Star and, in turn, provides peaceful sleep and pleasant dreams to the inhabitants of the world, who flow out of the fountain in liquid form before evaporating into a fog that spreads across the planet.
The main character - Kirby wakes up from his afternoon hibernation without having seen any dreams. He goes to the Fountain of Dreams to investigate. There, he discovers that King DeDeD has stolen the Star Rod, the source of the Dream Fountain's power, and shattered it into seven pieces, six of which he distributed to his allies: Whispy Woods, Roller Skating Artist. . Paint Roller), Mr. Light with Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright, Kracko, Heavy Mole and Meta Knight, and one left yourself. Without the Star Rod, all the inhabitants of the Land of Dreams become aggressive and unable to dream. Kirby travels across seven worlds, battling enemies, mini-bosses, and bosses through hazard-infested locations to retrieve seven Star Rod fragments. After that, an ominous dark aura covers the sky, appearing as a dark creature named Nightmare, emerging from the fountain. It turned out that the Nightmare damaged the fountain and King DeDeDe broke the Star Rod and scattered parts across the country in order to protect the Land of Dreams. The nightmare quickly flies away, but, preventing him from escaping, DeDeDe inhales Kirby with the Star Rod and spits it into the air, sending the main character to fight the Nightmare. Using the power of the Star Rod, Kirby defeats Nightmare in two forms and saves the Land of Dreams.
The ending describes the flight of King DeeDe with Kirby and their further reconciliation. During the credits, the plot of the game is described, the consequences of the defeat of the Nightmare. At the end of the game, Kirby, breaking the fourth wall, says goodbye to the player and flies home.
