Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe is coming out on February 24th 2023, and the Nintendo Direct has revealed that a demo will be playable, and here it is. We did have a demo for Kirby and the Forgotten Land weeks before it was released, but anyway, to explain about the game. Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe is a remake of Kirby's Return to Dream Land, which released on the Wii in 2011, and I do like the redesign they went with on the game, but I don't like King Dedede's redesign for this game, I liked how King Dedede looked in the original game, but his design from Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which resembles his appearance in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, is carried over to this game.
For the story of this game, Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight, and Bandana Waddle Dee go on an adventure to collect Energy Spheres to help Magolor fix the Lor Starcutter, which has crash landed into Kirby's world. I don't want to go too far into detail about the plot in case anyone watching this video has not played or seen gameplay on the original game for the Wii, but the original version did introduced powered up versions of regular Copy Abilities, like the Ultra Sword and Monster Flame, and the demo version only has three courses, both of which are based on the first two worlds in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, and there is the boss fight which is the end of the demo.
New to the Deluxe version is Merry Magoland, a theme park designed by Magolor, and you can buy masks of various Kirby characters and take part in minigames, some of which are returning minigames from past Kirby games.
The Nintendo Direct did annouce a side game where you play as Magolor and you work towards getting his powers back, and that story is unlocked after completing the main story, as it does kind of remind me of how Kirby Star Allies had an update which included a new story that happens after beating the game.
If you are wondering if I will be doing a playthrough on Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, there is a good chance of it happening, as I did record a video on the demo for Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and I even do a YouTube playthrough on that game, and back when I used to do playthroughs back in the 2010s where I used to call them walkthroughs, Kirby's Return to Dream Land was one of the game I have considered doing back then, but I never got around to it, and with this remake, I will finally get around to it.
