A new adventure awaits in Fire Emblem Engage, this game goes back to the classic routes of Fire Emblem, but with some new features added. There is the ability to call in a previous protagonist using Emblem Rings. At the beginning, the main protagonist, Alear, also known as the Divine Dragon, wakes up, and is accompanied by some stewards in getting to Lythos Castle.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Fire Emblem Engage takes place in Elyos, and the main protagonist is Alear, you can choose whether to go with male or female, and I do like how strange their hair looks where it is both red and blue. Then we get the prologue, and... are we really taking on the final boss at the very start of the game? You can't tell me that the evil looking person looks like he would be the final boss of this game, but anyway, this is a tutorial on movement, combat, and using Emblems, and Alear is accompanied by a familiar looking character. After merging with your Emblem, time to take out this villainous person, and then we move to Chapter 1, and Alear wakes up from their 1000 year slumber, and I went with female Alear for this playthrough.
Then we meet up with Vander, the 32nd Steward of the Dragon, and twins Framme and Clanne, the 33rd Stewards of the Dragon, and it is revealed Alear is known as the Divine Dragon, and that 1000 years have passed since the first steward took their post, and with Vander being the 32nd generation of stewards, that must be a very long time.
After going through all of that dialogue, we set off to Lythos Castle to find Lumera, the Divine Dragon Monarch, but then we find some corrupted looking monsters, and both Clanne and Framme are under attack, so it is up to Alear and Vander to stop these monsters and save them.
Time for combat, and we are still in tutorial mode, and in this game, the experience system is changed back to how it worked in older Fire Emblem games where 20 is the maximum level, and units have a Basic Class and a Master Class, Alear is a Dragon Child, and she uses a sword, her Personal Skill is Divinely Inspiring, any allies adjacent to Alear deal 3 more damage and take 1 less damage.
Vander is a Paladin, which is a Master Class unit, which means that he will get less experience in battle than Alear, while Vander can hit hard early on and take hits, you shouldn't rely on him too often, because if you rely on a unit like Vander, your other units won't get the experience they need. His Personal Skill is Alabaster Duty, if he is adjacent to the Divine Dragon, Alear in this case, both units gain Crit +5 during combat.
This one shouldn't be too hard, Vander will request you to use the thickets to your advantage, as they incrase your avoid rate from enemy attacks. Framme and Clanne don't have any weapons, and they should do fine, as it is scripted that they will try to make their escape. Once you have caught up with them, Vander and Alear will be surrounded by enemies, and it is time to use Engage, and Alear then call in Marth, the Hero-King and the main protagonist from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, and units have access to sync skills when synced with an Emblem. Marth has Perceptive, which boosts Avoid by 15 during combat, and it increases with a higher Speed stat, Divine Speed, where a unit performs an extra attack at 50% damage in combat, and Lodestar Rush, a 7 hit sword attack that deals 30% of the damage, and you can increase your bond with Emblems, allowing you to unlock new skills with them.
After helping out Clanne and Framme, more enemies show up, but we then get assistance from Lumera, the Divine Dragon Monarch and the mother of Alear, and after a bit more dialogue, it is time to explore, you can find glowing items on the ground, that is where you can pick up items, you can talk to allies and look around, there isn't much else to do, so it is time to advance to the next chapter.
