Here is the third installment in the Mario Kart series, this is Mario Kart: Super Circuit, now on Game Boy Advance - Nintendo Switch Online. This is the first Mario Kart game to be on a handheld system, and if you are wondering, I might do 100cc or stick to 50cc, because I know how difficult 150cc is in this game, or I might only do 50cc for now.
Mario Kart: Super Circuit has the 8 characters that were playable in Mario Kart 64, those being Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Wario, and Bowser. In this game, Luigi, Peach, Wario, and Toad use their voices from the Japanese version of Mario Kart 64, and some of them were re-used in Mario Party.
In this video, I go over the Mushroom Cup on 50cc, and I play as Yoshi, who uses voice clips from Yoshi's Story in this game, and each character have a set of rivals, for Yoshi, the order of rivals are Peach, Luigi, Toad, Mario, Wario, Donkey Kong, and Bowser. Yoshi is a lightweight character, although he isn't the lightest like Peach and Toad are.
The tracks for the Mushroom Cup are Peach Circuit, Shy Guy Beach, Riverside Park, and Bowser Castle 1. Peach Circuit is a straightforward track, and you can see Peach's Castle in the background, Shy Guy Beach has Sidesteppers, and the ship can fire cannonballs at players. Riverside Park is the first course in this game to have jumps where you can boost to the other part of the course, and there is Bowser Castle 1, which is the shortest out of the Bowser Castle courses, this one has a bunch of Thwomps and Lava Bubbles to watch out for.
Mario Kart: Super Circuit doesn't tend to get much representation for Retro Tracks in later Mario Kart games, because Wii had two tracks, Mario Kart 7 had only one, and the base game for Mario Kart 8 had one, and two more were added in DLC updates, and Mario Kart Tour has updated some GBA courses. For returning courses in the Mushroom Cup, Peach Circuit returned in Mario Kart DS, Shy Guy Beach was brought back in Mario Kart Wii, Bowser Castle 1 is in Mario Kart 7 where it is the only GBA track to return to that game, and while Riverside Park has currently not returned in any Mario Kart game, it is in Mario Kart Tour where it was completely redesigned where it has more bridges and ramps.
