After the shame of failing to kill Osama bin Kerman, the boys fall on hard times financially and have to sell their ship, the Skyfarer. Not to worry however, the kindly folks at Honest Bob's Used Spacecraft have just the deal for them, a "gently" used space freighter which Jeb christens the "Jeb's Junk."

Their mission for today should be a milk run, merely taking the eminent scientist Dr. Calgan Kerman from Kerbin orbit to the asteroid science base Science Station XX-01. Only a couple little hitches with that plan, which are that Science Station XX-01 is in a highly inclined orbit and that orbit is opposite the direction that all other objects in Kerbin orbit travel. So they will have to stop over at Minmus, land, fill their fuel and kethane tanks, head to the station, drop off the good doctor and return to Minmus to fuel up again for the next mission.

And of course the problem that they are doing all this in a decrepit hunk of junk. Who knows though, they made those space freighters pretty strong in the old days. Jeb doesn't know this from personal experience, he was in his diapers when this hulk was first birthed into space.
