Our second mission is to swipe a priceless historical artifact from the surface of the Mun. In the bad old days of the Kerbin Cold War, he Koviet Union was trying to beat the Kapitalists in a race for the Mun. They weren't too sure of their tech however (not unlike me) and so they wanted to test their lander under robotic control first. Sure enough, although the lander landed successfully on the Mun, there was an electrical fault that prevented it from taking off again, and now the only remaining example of a Koviet Mun Lander is sitting on the surface of the Mun, and worth a lot of money to some well-heeled museum. Now the Kersonian Institution has hired the crew of the Skyfarer to swipe the lander off the surface of the Mun and return it to Kerbin orbit, where it will be carefully packed for return to Kerbin and the museum.

However, before we can get that far, the old issue of 'engineering defects' raises its ugly head again...
