Lake Hylia (for Eight Trombones) from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - dannymusic
Hey guys, here's my entry to #SoundoleChillOut2018, hope you lake my cover.
Lake Hylia had been a location in the Zelda series ever since A Link to the Past (debatably in the original game as well), yet it never got a unique theme until Twilight Princess! It is located in the Lanayru Province and is initially drained thanks to Zant and twilight interference. Once the lake is restored, this beautiful, peaceful theme plays, originally on cello and guitar-like synthstruments.
But I play trombone! It had been a long time since I did a full eight-trombone multitrack cover, no better time than the present! I love the original Lake Hylia melody and arpeggios though I did deviate a bit from the source material as usual. In addition to the eight trombones, the string bass vst gives a bit more body for the low end, and look out for some surprises that happen midway through!
Thanks a lot for listening! My next video is going to be a very long-overdue collab with some familiar faces. Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss it, and let me know what you think!
