Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light: Tricks 'n' Glitches on Level 1: Tower of Light
17The newest game of the series is timed exclusive on XBLA.. This isometric action adventure has some pretty cool tricks which makes speed running a bit more competitive. Funny thing is that NONE of these tricks save time other than
Placing a bomb on a pressure switch where the sphere is during Xolotl's fire trap. So the explosion boosts the sphere nearer to the other pressure switch.
There are 8 clips altogether:
1. Showing that bar gates can be skipped by jumping over them with an aid of a Bomb and a Sphere.
2. Demostrating how FAR you can go with a bomb and a sphere. This tricks works well when you trigger an explosion ONLY when Lara climbs onto the Sphere NOT jumping on top of the sphere.
3. Demostarting how HIGH you can go with a bomb and a sphere. I haven't found any uses for this yet as I am only playing through the Trial version. I will wait til the game is on offer like 800 or 560 points which is a nice deal.
4. Cliping/Telekinesis
If you place a sphere on one side of a bar gate and grabbing it from the other side you get to clip through the gate. However if you let go of the sphere you warp back to the original position as if you had psychic powers.
5. Cliping/Telekinesis 2: Similar trick but this time you hit a Bar Gate Switch you will warp next to the grabbed sphere.
6. Creative Spear shortcut on Bonus area 2.
7. If you combine the "Bomb Sphere" boost you can throw a spear at a much higher location. With a creative setup you can go Out of Bounds, there is another area that you can sorta go Out of Bounds but it isn't as accessible as the one shown on here.
8. Showing the right half of the Out of Bounds area. Nothing much other than the graphics updates when you go to a different area.
