Laser Ghost on Sega Master System- Horror Retrogaming - Sega Master System Gameplay with Commentary
This week's Horror Retrogaming Let's Play pick is Laser Ghost! This game is an Arcade style shooter from Sega release for the Sega Master System in 1991. It was originally released in 1989 in the arcades complete with a stand up gun cabinet, but the home version is incredibly different from this port. I played this game in an emulator, so I didn't have the gun peripheral. Laser Ghost is pretty straight forward, as you just have to protect this girl has she walks ambivalently and obliviously through a frighteningly haunted manor.
Every Thursday, I put out a video in my Horror Retrogaming Series. In this series, I'm trying to illustrate how horror has been presented and evolved in gaming these past few decades. I will trace this evolution by playing adaptations of horror movies and books, early survival horror games, and any horror retro games that tried to actually be scary. I'm a huge horror fan, and this series is the flagship of my channel.
I played a copy of this game on archive.org and captured the footage with Xsplit.
