The latest recruits from Nepal have sworn their oath of allegiance to the Royal Gurkha Rifles - or Kasam Khane, to give the oath its Nepali translation - at a parade in Brunei Garrison. The centrepiece of the event was the "Queen's Truncheon" - which had to make a rare journey half way around the world.
