I explain baking textures if you are using Blender Kit for additional lava textures. Most people simply download lava textures but for those who want something different that what everyone else is using...

*Blender Kit is an add on for Blender. It gives access to many meshes, hdri backgrounds, scenes, textures, and brushes.

Material tag 0 = RoadAndPath
Material tag 1 = beamng
++case sensitive material tag for your material to be selectable as a decal

Sorry had to take that call at the end, if anyone wants more information on adjusting ground models to simulate something that the car gets stuck in while on a lava decal let me know. That pretty much requires its own video to explain.

I normally just hot key ignite in the menu in the key binding options to give the ability to press a key to ignite the car when making videos. You can also purposly flip normals on a DAE to be wrong to eat a car. It will give the effect of some of the car getting eaten by the lava. Also you can hot key break all beams to make the car appear as the lava is breaking the car. And lastly, you can hot key flatten tires, so you can give the appearence that the tires are popping from the lava.
Some creators use additional lighting in the scenes to illuminate the area with a red glow, and some edit the particles for the water wheels (particle #50) to show various red colors and or textures of lava to replace the default water particles. This is another video that I would have to explain this in detail so that you do not mess up the games particles. I have made these videos before, but no idea where they are, somewhere they are.

Ultimatly I would like to create a working lava flow mod. Something that has volume and can move cars around. Some progress has been made, but nothing worth downloading yet. No idea if I will figure this out, but I am thinking about it often.

There is far more one can do with baking materials than I covered. Baking emmisive light maps for use in PBR materials is one thing that can be done.
