3The informal polite style of speaking is mostly used for daily life and is a little easier to remember than the formal polite style because all sentences types end in 요 but there are quite a few rules.
The tone changes depending on the sentence type:
1. If you are declaring something (stating it as a fact), 요 has a falling tone (you start off with a high pitch voice and go to a lower pitch)
2. If you are asking something, 요 has a rising tone (you start off with a low pitch and end off with a high pitch)
3. If you are making a suggestion, 요 has a consistent tone
3. If you are making a demand, 요 drops quite quickly.

Grammar rules:
1. If you are declaring something, asking a question, or making a suggestion, you simply add 요 at the end.
2. If you are making a demand or giving addvice, add 세요 at the end of the word, like we have seen for 주다 (to give) to make 주세요
3. Technically, a vowel like ㅏ or ㅓ is added before 요 to the word stem, and there are some other rules for that, but they won't be covered here.
