Woah! You actually read my ramblings! Anyhoo, if you didn't get what just happened here, here's an explanation. Tenkai's Melon Barrier - is an awesome skill, especially for your glass cannons (and with 0.2.60 update - you can just place them behind your desired unit), however - the way how damage is distributed is terrible. While this substitute spell channels all the damage to Tenkai, that doesn't mean Tenkai is particularly immune: by that I mean that far-reaching spells like Thunder Shot and Double Swords can still affect Tenkai as well (as demonstrated here, ideally Tenkai should've taken 1199 damage and not 2398 damage (my Tenkai wasn't tier 3 yet)). And now the elephant in the room: Multi-Hit "Wide" Attacks - These are type of attacks that hit multiple times and have more than 1 cell, such as Electric Fan or Crimson Lotus Sword. Again, the problem is with how damage is distributed since instead of being hit with the fan 3 times, Tenkai can get by a fan up to 9 times! Monochrome Storm is a wonderful attack - being Multi-Hit, has a nice range and has low charge time; so imagine this thing, hitting Tenkai who protected their allies with their barrier - and as a result Tenkai gets 12 hits in total (which is 1205% of damage at its' full capacity, or more specifically 9223 damage, not counting buffs)! God, I fear what monstrosity I'll see if I group up 8 of my units around Tenkai who has Masked Melon activated... 27 hits... 2875% of damage on max Monochrome Storm... 21045 damage total... Tenkai, r u ok?
