Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.

In this episode we move forward on the frontend continuing on the messaging feature. We start out fixing a couple of small issues with the messages bar, and messages popup including getting rid of the horizontal scroll bar when the popup is open, and removing some padding that we will add elsewhere. Then we setup a new component to display all the conversations we have had in the MessagePopup. After setting up the new component we map through all our conversations in the message popup and display the new MessageConversationCard for each conversation. We setup a way to open a conversation that already exists in our state, then wrap up with styling the new component and debugging some structural issues from development.
