Lets Build Twitter From the Ground Up: Episode 188 || Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL and React
Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.
In this episode we are completely finishing the create message modal. We first setup the ability for the create group button to work. Then we circle back to fix a couple of bugs that stuck around from last episode. First we fixed the conversations being duplicated by the MessageSlice, then we setup the ability to disable a conversation with more than one person anytime we go into the create group modal, or when a person is already selected for a conversation. Finally, we do some refactoring to make our lives easier in the next episodes by putting the generateFollowingText function and the generateConversationText function in a utility file. And we also extracted the conversation picture into its own component also to be used in more components in the future.
