Let's Enjoy Zack Zero Part 4: An improvement in design.
This was... a nice level. Unlike the strange, more fantasy settings, I suddenly get a very sci-fi, fitting and well put together level. Which is good!
There's hazards, cool enemy designs, things that actually USE my abilities in a neat way. It's impressive after the somewhat lackluster levels of yore.
While I'm perfectly fine with slow starting games, and while it's not a terrible idea to start with bad levels and keep the good ones for later, at least put ONE good level at the start to show "Yea, I know how to have fun".
Because that was a fun level. No silly Z-Index/Depth mechanics, just straight forward fun and action.
