This game prompted a whole lot of tangents - about storytelling and characterization, about violence and society, about all sorts of things, and I think that is its intent. Overall, I think the game was extremely successful at doing what it intended. It is in many ways very good, and I am very glad it exists and is asking the questions and initiating the conversations it does. It's a good mystery to unravel, it doesn't overstay its welcome, and the pacing of the "big reveal" is good. I am critical of the pacing in the game overall, but when it lands, it lands perfectly.
It's eerie and uncomfortable that this game was made in 2012, before our current political climate. But I think it's an important reminder (as I say in this stream) that our freedoms and rights were only recently given to us, and they are somewhat tenuous - we can't be complacent because they could be taken away. And as terrifying as that is, it's still important to be aware of. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/laurentheflute
