Terri and company have been tasked with entering a supposedly haunted tomb in the Trademeet graveyard to recover an ancient item, the Mantle of Waukeen. This mantle will supposedly prove that the family who hired us are the sole descendants of the founder of the town, something that I’m sure won’t be rubbed into the faces of every other noble family to prove that they’re superior. What’s interesting about this quest is that you can get it from either family that asks for your assistance and for the most part, they’re functionally identical, including how they end. Whether things conclude amicably or in a brief and devastating bout of combat depends entirely on if you want an improved reputation or lots of loot.

I’ll give you a moment to figure out which one I’d prefer at this point.

After this quest, we’ll be briefly popping back to Athkatla to do a little bit of buying and selling, along with tying up a certain loose end that we uncovered hidden behind a secret wall in an inn. You’d be surprised how much of a difference a single level can make against certain powerful foes.
