Let’s Play Brothers #04: To Go Up, We Must go Through
This is a blind playthrough of the game. As such, please avoid posting puzzle solutions or plot spoilers, so as to not spoil the experience for me or other viewers who haven’t played the game.
Our giant friend has already been a huge help, assisting Naiee and Naia in getting past the difficult hilly terrain outside of town and closer to their goal. He’s brought the pair to an underground cave system that we can presume will help them make even better time, though caves are not without their dangers. Hopefully it’s nothing that the brothers can’t handle, or they stand little chance against a giant spider or other creatures of the dark and deep places of the world.
The difficulty curve for the game has so far been very gradual, teaching you the basics and then adding extra layers to it slowly. New mechanics are taught in a safe environment, providing you all the time you need to get to grips with them and it does all this with the minimum of direction. This is possible due the having only one button for interaction that’s context sensitive, something I’m very glad for. I could only imagine how difficult it’d be to keep track of everything if each separate action had its own dedicated button input, forcing you to use every button on the controller or a myriad of the keyboard keys. The simplicity allows the game to be the focus instead and my, what a game it is so far.
