Let’s Play HC Minecraft Take Three #48: Suddenly, a Breakthrough

With the observation tower built, we can safely remain by the village at night observing the surroundings for a zombie villager. Even if the mobs could climb ladders, it would be easy for us to attack said foe while they make their ascent. Now all we need to do is wait and hope that we’re lucky, whereupon the difficult part truly begins. Once a villager is found, we’ll need to guide them to the village, begin the process of curing them and trap them in one of the buildings so they can’t escape and burn up in the daylight or get attacked by zombies once they’re cured. With how small the houses I’ve built are, this is quite perilous, but the reward for success is great indeed.
Once cured, the villager will be an unlimited source of resources and emeralds, both of which I want. What resources they have depends on the profession I give them and while it’s tempting to go straight for the most desirable ones, I find it better to begin with villagers that you can start earning emeralds with right away. The more emeralds I have stockpiled for when the really expensive stuff comes around, the better.
