Let’s Play Brothers #10: ...Is Another Journey’s Beginning

As a note, this video and video 9 were originally one super long video that I decided to cut for length purposes.
Normally I would use the video description of the final video to build up suspense and drama, ask questions of whether the characters can prevail against insurmountable odds. Not this time, however; I don’t think I could write anything here which would top what the game is doing and so, I’m not going to try. Instead, I’ll let it do the talking and me the crying.
Since recording this video, I’ve tried my best to break down my opinion of this game but all I’ve managed to come up with for definite is… wow. Just… wow. This game is something really special, a powerful story full of adventure, peril and brimming with emotions, good and bad. The puzzles are brilliantly well designed, the controls intuitive, a beautiful setting full of top-notch music. The narrative is wonderful, made all the stronger by deciding upon simlish style dialogue that, leaving things open to interpretation. Even the length is just right, telling its tale and ending and that ending… that ending. If I can write anything with a hint of the power of this game’s ending, I’ll be a very happy person indeed. If you haven’t played this game before, I thoroughly recommend you do so, even if you’ve watched this let’s play from start to finish. Definitely one of the best games I’ve played this year, without a shadow of a doubt.
So, what’s next? After such an emotional rollercoaster, I think it’s time to play something that probably won’t bring tears to my eyes through the sheer power of its narrative. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to be playing something that nobody has heard of, far from it in fact. I’m going to be playing something that I both have and haven’t played before, something that I believe is long, long overdue to be let’s played by me. What that is, you’ll have to wait and see.
