Let’s Play HC Minecraft Take Three #50: Filling In the Mysteries

Even as I try to get a second villager, the fact that I have an incomplete map continues to play at the edge of my thoughts. If there’s one thing I don’t like doing in this game, it’s leaving a map partially unexplored, so it was only a matter of time before I went back to filling it in. Unlike the first map however, we’ve got a lot more land to contend with, which means we’re back to using our horse for ease of transportation.
There was a very long gap between the addition of maps and horses and in that time, you had to fill them in on foot. It was not only a far more lengthy task but a more dangerous one too, as it made outrunning enemies a lot more difficult. It did however give you lots of time to take in the scenery around you and appreciate its beauty, something I don’t tend to do while atop my steed galloping about and somehow managing to neatly fill in a map.
