Let's Play Delta Force: Land Warrior | Campaign Operation 3: Burial Chamber | Demolition
Welcome to Delta Force: Land Warrior, a military simulation tactical shooter made by Novalogic in 2000. The game is the third instalment in the Delta Force line of Mil-Sim games and involves various playable characters or heroes, all with their unique special abilities, namely, Sgt. Cole "Gas Can" Harris, CW2 Erica "Mako" Swift, Lt. Rydell "Pitbull" Wilson, Pvt. Jen "Snakebite" Tanaka, and Sgt. Daniel "Longbow" Lonetree. The game involves a fictional campaign as Delta Force operatives in Egypt wherein they are tackling a local terrorist group known as the Armed People's Front. The game includes navigation and infiltration across vast, sprawling landscapes as well as tight indoor areas alike and focuses primarily on counter-terrorism activities amidst missions like hostage rescue, ambushes, surgical strikes, reappropriation, NBC containment, and more. There is as much of a focus on strategy and tactics is there is on firefights and shootouts.
Ever since the APF has made itself a target of the Delta Force, JSOC has been keeping their activities under surveillance. Some time ago, a reconnaissance flight had revealed the presence of ammo crates, indicating that the Armed People's Force has been stockpiling munitions for what is presumed to be a planned offensive.
Due to the sensitive nature of the operation and the possibility of hostages, Daniel "Longbow" Longtree has been sent into the battlefield with one objective: get into the campsite and destroy all available ammo caches while ensuring that no hostages are killed in the process. Due to the nature of the operation, it is preferrable that no unnecessary fights be picked and Longbow is the ideal candidate for such a task.
When Longbow heads into the campsite, it turns out to be devoid of any weapons caches. Resultantly, he decides to go into the nearby underground burial chambers to look for them. His intelligence serving him true, he finds the cache split up into two piles and while he eliminates the enemy forces, he simultaneously places charges down at both sites.
On his way back to the surface, he triggers an explosion with his remote detonator effectively ridding the world of dangerous weapons in wrongful hands.
All that remains is to take advantage of the confusion and await his extraction via Black Widow at the Extraction Point.
