Welcome back to The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, a role-playing game originally made by Bethesda for the MS Dos. For this playthrough, we are using the Unity remake of the game and a lot of mods to enhance the experience. The game involves navigating the sensitive political landscape of the Illiac Bay, a region of Tamriel on the fictional planet of Nirn comprising of the countries within the bay as well as the various fragmented powers surrounding it on both High Rock and Hammerfell. We have been sent to the place on a mission by our Emperor Uriel Septim VII to investigate two curious instances, the shade of King Lysandus that roams the streets of Daggerfall at night and a letter that he sent to the Queen of Daggerfall a few years ago that never reached her. Despite being a dungeon crawler at heart, Daggerfall places a lot of emphasis upon the player's individual exploration as choosing one among the various political factions in the region as they navigate the complex mess that is the Illiac Bay. In this playthrough, we will be playing as a Spellcaster and will shift our focus towards the Mages' Guild and the Order of Arkay.

Following his long absence from the affairs of his personal life, tending to the emperor's business, Strangeblood found himself looking to mend bridges with the Order of Araky. A nagging feeling had come over him that they were getting tired of his callousness. As a result, he went to their quester to volunteer his services and they gladly accepted.

The first task they had for him was a rite of Atonement. The people at the temple had displeased Arkay and as a result, they wanted him to head over to the Ruins of Yeomsly Farmstead and retrieve the purest scale of a fairy dragon. Tainted ones won't do. However, they also told him that since this entire journey is to appease Arkay, he will let Strangeblood know when he has chanced upon it.

Whoever built the Yeomsly Farmstead built for a greater purpose as while the crypts were small, they were rigged with teleporter portals that resembled bricked-up walls. Not only that, but there was more than one magical device guarding the place, and even a wall that you kill those that touched it and even a sacrificial altar as well a teleportal hidden behind a banner that could only be removed by sitting on a throne.

Strangeblood completed his task of finding the scale hidden behind the altar and reported back to the Order to appease their Aedroth.

Their next task for him was to retrieve a sacred relic guarded by a previous member of the Order who had corrupted himself into a Lich named Troglophang. His job was to retrieve the relic amid the Ruins of The Old Moorsly Hovel that had, over time, become a haunt for Ghosts and Skeletons alike.

Strangeblood felt like checking out a section of the dungeon that he hadn't previously addressed, and in the process, found the Lich hiding underwater. It was weak enough to die to two of Strangeblood's fireballs, but that is perhaps why it hiding underwater in the first place. Strangeblood took the relic and teleported back to the order at the break of dawn, still dripping wet and breathing through his magical gills.

That was when the Order promoted him to the rank of Curate, pleased by his recent performance, and the potion master taught him the art of making potions.

This is how Strangeblood got Curated for a Curate:
