It's a good thing the captain has a beacon-like device Cortana can home in on, else we'd have to search through the entire ship for Keyes. Even if we do find him we'll have to get him off the ship somehow and that's going to be no picnic; if the Covenant aren't worried now, they'll definitely be when we free him.

Then again, how worried can they really be about the remnant human forces scattered across the ring? The Covenant have access to multiple battlecruisers and even more soldiers. Is getting hold of Cortana that important?

...Or is there another reason why they want Master Chief and the other humans dead so badly?
