Let's Play LIMBO: Episode 1: The itsy-bitsy spider...
This week, as part of Horror Month, Jon & Luke enter the surreal and silhouetted world of Playdead's Let's Play LIMBO. Luke controls our silent and mostly faceless protagonist as we trek across the eerie and shadowed landscape, ever rightward. For what reason and to what end, we do not know, but the spooky and oftentimes violent journey is a hell of a walk. We encounter our first major Antagonist, an eight-legged terror, and also learn that swimming is hard.

LIMBO is a puzzle-platformer developed and self-published by Playdead, and is a grand member of the early part of the indie game renaissance. It was released first on XBLA in 2010, and later moved to PlayStation 3 and Windows. The entire game is presented in 2D black & white with oppressive film-like overlay effects, and has been lauded by fans & reviewers alike for its bleak and striking presentation, even being used as an example for the "games as an art form" argument that still rages on to the present day.
